The Clos Canereccia Red Wine stands as a magnificent testament to the quality of Corsican winemaking. Sourced from the eastern coast near Aléria, this wine is predominantly Niellucciu (the island’s answer to Sangiovese), complemented by Grenache and Syrah. The estate is committed to organic conversion, and the wine is matured in a combination of large wooden foudres and tronconic tanks, ensuring complexity and finesse.

Tasting Notes (Reference Vintage)

• Colour: A deep, sustained ruby, promising depth and concentration.
• Nose: Intense and layered, revealing jammy black fruit, evocative notes of the Mediterranean maquis (wild herbs), and a refined suggestion of vanilla and game that speaks to its quality and élevage.
• Palate: Full, rich, and remarkably persistent. The powerful tannins are well-rounded, delivering a sophisticated structure. The finish is long, warming, and distinctly spicy.

Serving and Food Matching

This is a serious red for serious food. To fully appreciate its depth, we advise decanting for 60 minutes. It should be served cellar temperature, approximately 16-18°C.
