Its history, dating back to Benedictine monks, was cemented by the visionary Alexis Lichine. The modern wines are noted for their greater depth and concentration, while retaining the signature perfume and finesse expected from this esteemed appellation.

Tasting Notes

• Colour: A vibrant, deep ruby-garnet.
• Aromatics: Classic Margaux nose with layered aromas of blackcurrant, plum, tobacco leaf, cedarwood, and a delicate floral lift of violets.
• Taste: Medium-full bodied with a beautifully refined mouthfeel. The tannins are fine-grained and polished, supporting a core of ripe black and red fruits. The wine shows excellent structure, savoury complexity, and a persistent, elegant finish. A true delight for the cellar.
