This blend masterfully combines the classic, age-worthy structure of Bordeaux’s Cabernet Sauvignon with the intense fruit and velvety texture of high-altitude Mendoza Malbec. It is truly the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ in one luxurious bottle.

Tasting Notes (Typical Vintage)

• Colour: A striking, deep purple hue.
• Nose: Richly layered, offering concentrated black fruit (cassis, dark plum) alongside Malbec’s characteristic violet perfume. Secondary notes from 18 months in French oak barrels (made at Lafite’s own cooperage) include graphite, fine tobacco, and a hint of baking spice.
• Palate: Full, plush, and impeccably structured. The wine manages to be both powerful and refined, showcasing remarkably fine-grained tannins and a superb length that promises excellent cellar potential.

Food Pairing & Decanting

This wine is a superb partner for classic British roasts and game. Decant for a minimum of one hour and serve at a cool room temperature (16-18°C) for optimal enjoyment.
