La Petite Église is the superb Second Wine from the celebrated Château L’Église Clinet, nestled in the heart of the prestigious Pomerol appellation. It provides a more immediate and charming insight into the estate’s exceptional terroir. While offering earlier drinkability than the Grand Vin, it boasts the classic Pomerol hallmarks of voluptuous texture, profound dark fruit, and remarkable aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes & Specifications

• Colour: Deep, lustrous garnet.
• Nose: Complex and alluring, featuring concentrated black fruit (damson, blackcurrant), underscored by forest floor, truffle, and elegant spice notes from oak ageing.
• Palate: Round and seamless, with a velvety mouthfeel typical of great Merlot. The tannins are beautifully integrated, giving structure and length to the persistent finish. A truly graceful expression of the Right Bank.
• Grapes: Mainly Merlot (80%) with a portion of Cabernet Franc (20%).

Serving Suggestions

Pair this elegant Pomerol with classic British festive fare or high-end roasts. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F). Decanting is suggested to soften the edges and enhance the bouquet.

• Food Pairings: Beef Wellington, Roast Venison Loin, Rack of Lamb with Rosemary, or a mature Cheddar and Stilton board.
