1. Delivery Information

🇬🇧 We Ship Duty Paid (DDP) – No Hidden Fees!

Buying wine from France should be a pleasure, not a paperwork headache. We have set up a seamless cross-border logistics solution for our UK customers.

  • All-Inclusive Pricing: The price you see is the price you pay. It includes UK VAT (20%)UK Excise Duties, and Import Customs fees.
  • No Customs Hassle: We (Selection Sommelier) act as the “Importer of Record”. We handle the customs clearance and pay the taxes to HMRC before the wine reaches you.
  • Guaranteed: You will never be asked to pay extra fees by the courier upon delivery.

Shipping Methods & Times

All our wines are sourced and dispatched directly from our climate-controlled cellars in France.

  • Standard Delivery: 5 to 10 working days.
  • Express Delivery: 2 to 4 working days (where available).

Note: Delivery times are estimates. While we pre-clear customs electronically, occasional random checks by UK Border Force may cause minor delays beyond our control.

Secure Packaging

Wine is fragile. We use industry-leading, double-wall cardboard boxes with reinforced inserts (approved by UPS/DHL) to ensure your bottles arrive in perfect condition.


2. Returns & Refunds

Your Right to Cancel

We want you to be completely happy with your order. Under UK Consumer Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving a reason.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: How to Return an Item

Please read carefully: Our London address (Lavender Hill) is a correspondence office only. It cannot accept parcels. Any wine sent to this address will be rejected or destroyed, and we will be unable to refund you.

To arrange a valid return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us First: Email our support team at london@selectionsommelier.co.uk within 14 days of receipt.
  2. Get Authorization: We will issue you a Return Authorisation Number and provide the correct address of our Logistics Centre (this may be a UK consolidation hub or our French warehouse, depending on the volume).
  3. Ship: You must send the goods back within 14 days of notifying us.

Return Costs:

  • Change of Mind: You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods securely.
  • Faulty/Broken: If the item is defective, we will cover the return costs or provide a full refund/replacement without return.

Breakages & Faulty Goods

In the unlikely event that your wine arrives broken or is found to be “corked” (defective):

  • Breakage: Please email us a photo of the damaged parcel/bottle immediately. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund.
  • Corked Wine: Please keep the bottle (do not pour it away immediately) and contact us. We will arrange a credit or refund in accordance with our quality guarantee.
